The pretty market town of Llangefni is just over a mile away, and offers a weekly market and a good selection of pubs, restaurants and shops. There are excellent walks starting from the doorstep of the cottage with the Cefni Reservoir and The Dingle Nature Reserve just a 15-minute stroll across the adjoining fields. Here you can watch the abundant birdlife and follow the country trail around the edge of the lake. The island is also perfect for cycling with miles of country lanes to explore.
There is much to do in the surrounding area with the charming town of Beaumaris, the Pili Palas Nature World and the National Trust’s Plas Newydd all within easy reach. Do not miss a visit to the Snowdonia National Park with its myriad of outdoor pursuits and dramatic mountain scenery. Beach 10 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub serving food ½ mile.
