Tucked behind Market Street in the heart of the historic spa town of Buxton, Ten is a cosy terraced cottage refurbished throughout in 2018. Buxton is a wonderful town to visit come rain or shine, whatever time of the year, and Ten is perfectly placed to explore all the attractions that Buxton has to offer. A short stroll will take you to the magnificent Opera House, Pavilion Gardens, Devonshire Dome and a wonderful array of shops, pubs, restaurants, coffee shops and tea rooms.
You can walk the Ring of Trees around Buxton, visit Poole’s Cavern and Buxton Country Park, ride the Victorian open top tram or pick up a Buxton ’Bike and Go’. Known as the gateway to the Peak District National Park, ample outdoor pursuits are available locally together with a whole host of Peak District towns and villages. Ever popular Bakewell and the beautiful honeypot village of Castleton are around 20 minutes’ drive and the magnificent historic houses of Lyme Park, Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House around 30 minutes. The market towns of Ashbourne, Matlock and Matlock Bath can be reached in around 40 minutes, and for those thrill seekers Britain’s premier theme park Alton Towers is just under an hour away. Shop ¼ mile, pub and restaurant 160 yards.
