Full of character with mullioned windows and an open fire for cooler evenings, the accommodation overlooks the beautifully manicured gardens which offer a range of sitting out areas to catch the sun well into the evening.
Holmfirth is best known as the backdrop to the iconic British sit-com ’Last of the Summer Wine’, but uniquely is also home to its very own vineyard which offers tours, wine tasting and a restaurant. There’s also the ‘Picturedrome’, which is a superb intimate live music venue that attracts many famous bands and visitors from far and wide.
In the heart of the beautiful Holme Valley, on the edge of the West Yorkshire Pennines, there are endless opportunities for walking and cycling. The scenery is breathtaking and the hills are recognisable from the Tour de France 2014 and the Tour de Yorkshire. The sensational 573 yards Holme Moss climb is around 15 minutes’ drive and offers stunning views from the summit. The Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Wentworth Castle and the contemporary Hepworth Gallery are all around 30 minutes’ drive, and the Peak District National Park with all it has to offer is also easily accessible in around 20 minutes.
