Dob Cottage is a nearly new stone built cottage in a pleasant courtyard setting, just a short stroll from the village centre with all it's amenities. The cottage is fitted out with all mod.cons. and yet has the characterful beams so typical of the area. The bedroom on the ground floor has 2 comfortable 3ft beds (can convert to double) with 200/400 thread count Egyptian cotton bedding and pocket sprung mattresses. The bathroom has a bath and separate shower plus wc and wash basin.. Upstairs is an open plan kitchen/lounge area with all modern facilities including a 42" flat screen television, with Netflix.
No more than two minutes walk away, there are good restaurants, take-aways, shops, ATM's and lots of countryside walks, so no need to use the car . There is an allocated parking spot right outside the door of the cottage.
The charming village of Holmfirth with its many quirky little shops and eating places, is just 5 minutes drive away.
This cottage is located in Holmfirth. North Light Gallery and Picturedrome are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Castle Hill and Huddersfield Town Hall. LaserZone and Ponderosa Rural Therapeutic Centre are also worth visiting. Relax and indulge in the area's winery tours, or seek out an adventure with hiking and cycling nearby.
