It is situated 150 yards from the peaceful beach at Aldwick, making this an ideal base for exploring this beautiful part of Sussex. The centre of the seaside resort of Bognor Regis, with its Grade II listed pier, shops and station, is less than 1 mile away. Enjoy a stroll along the 2½ miles of glorious promenade or relax in one of the towns’ pubs, café or restaurants.
For those who enjoy the outdoors, there is the South Downs National Park for cycling, walking, horseriding or even star gazing into the dark night skies. There are many places of interest nearby, including Chichester and its impressive cathedral, the Weald and Downland Living Museum, or visit Arundel and stroll along the cobbled streets and see the fascinating Norman castle and the seat of the Dukes of Norfolk. Portsmouth offers the historic Naval Dockyard, where you can see the Tudor ship, the Mary Rose. Fishbourne Roman Palace and Bignor Roman Villa are also good days out. The award-winning gardens at Parham Park, West Dean and National Trust’s Nymans are within easy reach. If you’re feeling lucky, try Fontwell Park racecourse or Goodwood, where, not only is there horseracing, but motor racing can also be enjoyed. Beach 150 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant ¾ mile.
