In the heart of the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, this stone built, single-storey, detached cottage is located in the grounds of the owner’s 17th-century farmhouse guest house. It lies in a peaceful setting, in-between both the Yorkshire Dales and Peak District National Parks. Enjoy outstanding views from the property, and with the Calderdale Way and Pennine Way close by, there is ample walking available. To make your stay that bit more special, guests have sole use of a patio with garden furniture, and the welcoming owner can provide wonderful extras by prior arrangement, ranging from a hearty breakfast, homemade bread, marmalades and jams, to an in-house beauty and holistic treatment (these can either be offered in the privacy of the property, or at the owner’s guest house). With a history in bed manufacturing, you can look forward to a comfortable nights sleep.

Ripponden itself is a village close to the market town of Sowerby Bridge, in West Yorkshire. There are many attractions within easy reach including the Royal Armouries Museum, Brontë Parsonage Museum, National Media Museum and the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, which can all be reached within 40 minutes’. Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Cannon Hall Museum and the fabulous Harewood House are an hour away. For those seeking the bright lights of a big city, both Manchester and Leeds are around 50 minutes’ away. Shop 3¼ miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
