This cosy annex, attached to the owner’s home with a private sitting-out area, is set in an idyllic position for visiting the many attractions close by.
Only 4 miles away is the beautiful and rugged sand dunes of Druridge Bay and Cresswell, with its golden beach, nature reserve, country park and an impressive coastline. From here, you can try the number one coastal cycle route and see why the area is so popular with walkers and cyclists. A short drive brings you to Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, 6 miles away, where the only east coast offshore sculptures can be seen. There is also a Maritime Centre, sandy beach and lifeboat house.
Amble, only 7 miles away, is reputedly the friendliest port, which lies further up the coast and boasts a thriving Sunday market and some lovely eateries. An easy drive takes you onto the Heritage Coastal Route, peppered with friendly villages and castles, including the spectacular Bamburgh Castle.
Visit Alnwick, 17 miles away, home to Alnwick Castle, which is famous for being the filming location of ’Hogwarts’ in the popular Harry Potter films. The town has a fine selection of pubs, eateries and cobbled streets for guests to wander through and enjoy.
Travelling west to Rothbury, with Cragside House and Gardens, is only a short 15-mile drive. The vibrant city of Newcastle, with the pretty quayside and historic buildings is only 21 miles away and can easily be reached by car or train.
Couples of all ages will enjoy the location of this well-equipped holiday home, to retreat back to after long days out exploring this charming, friendly and unspoilt county. A dog sitting service is available at cost directly with the owner, who holds a licence for home boarding at cost (vaccination certificate is required). Beach 3¾ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 520 yards.
