Two miles to the east lies Druridge Bay, a long crescent of golden sands, perfect for walking with your dog, or to relax, unwind and let the Northumberland coastline take your breath away. Six miles to the north lies the busy fishing port of Amble with an array of shops, pubs, restaurants and takeaways. A little further afield takes you to the charming coastal villages of Warkworth and Alnmouth together with Morpeth, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island and Cragside, which are all within easy reach.
