Criccieth is home to a 13th-century castle, along with a fine selection of shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants. An array of outdoor activities and family attractions are available in the nearby Snowdonia National Park, and the rolling countryside of the Lleyn Peninsula. Just 4 miles away is the harbour town of Porthmadog, the departure point for wonderful steam train journeys on the famous Ffestiniog railway. The village of Portmeirion offers golf, fishing and riding, and is within a short distance of the property. Beach 200 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
