Bedroom: With double bed.. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Doggy extras. External utility room with freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer (shared with owner).. Enclosed ¾-acre lawned garden with decking, garden furniture, gas BBQ and pizza oven (shared with owner). Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: No children under 12 years old. There is an unfenced pond in the garden. . Discover Struan Lodge, tucked away down a quiet country lane and surrounded by beautiful countryside. The detached lodge is set in the owners grounds where guests will find the property private and extremely well maintained. With fabulous views of the adjacent countryside to the Campsie Fells, this is an ideal location for exploring the local area and further afield. The lodge is well-furnished to a good standard; on the ground floor guests will find a comfortable open plan living space, bijou kitchen area and a shower room. A spiral stair case leads to a spacious double bedroom. The lodge offers decking at the front and the side with garden furniture, a gas barbeque and charcoal pizza oven, perfect for al fresco dining.
Struan Lodge is situated in a quiet rural setting, yet is still located close to the motorway network with easy access to Stirling, Glasgow, Edinburgh and beyond. Stirling is an all year round destination and well worth a visit. Steeped in history, it is home to some of Scotland’s best attractions including Stirling Castle, The National Wallace Monument, Bannockburn, Church of the Holy Rude and Cambuskenneth Abbey. There are restaurants to suit all tastes, swimming pools, sport centres, a multiplex cinema, a theatre, museums, pubs and shops. Stirling University is just a short drive away and Struan Lodge is a good base to visit friends and family who attend the university. The Deanston Whiskey Distillery is also close by and offers a good day out.
There are numerous golf courses locally and Gleneagles championship courses are only 25 minutes’ away. For outdoor activities the choice is endless, Callander, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park are close by offering mountains to climb or gentle walks along the riverside where you can spot a large variety of wildlife. Discover the area by cycling and mountain biking, or by sailing and enjoy a peaceful cruise on the loch. Visit one of the scenes from the film Outlander in the village of Doune with its wonderful castle. After your day exploring, Struan Lodge is a great spot to relax on your return and watch the stars with a glass of fizz. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 3½ miles.
