The area has many delights to offer, as Banchory along the Victorian Heritage Trail which runs from Fettercairn to Braemar and into the Cairngorm National Park. Famous for being the area of Scotland that won Queen Victoria’s heart so intensely, Prince Albert searched the area for their second home, discovering Balmoral, only 20 miles away.
An abundance of activities can be enjoyed nearby with excellent golf courses, hill walking, mountain biking, fishing, canoeing, horse riding, archery, quad biking and paintballing, just to name but a few! In winter, the ski slopes are only an hour away. For a more relaxing adventure, visit the Falls of Feugh to watch the salmon leaping, or Crathes or Balmoral Castle for a spot of history. Tennis, bowling and pitch and putt are just a short walk away in the local park. Shop, pub and restaurant 400 yards.
