Fisherman Cottage is a Victorian, terraced, sandstone villa situated on a delightful elevated site within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is set in a rural position, along with six other properties, one of which being a small castle, yet lies just 1 mile from the village of Glencaple, where there is a tea room, restaurant (within a hotel) and a small shop.

The fantastic panoramic view over the Solway Firth and River Nith, towards the Lake District, can be enjoyed from nearly every room, and with a large picture window dominating the living area, you really will feel a part of coastal living. Outside, there is enough space for everyone. The children will definitely love being able to run through the bottom garden area right onto the beach. Dolphins and porpoises can often be seen along with a variety of species of migrating birds, perfect for the keen nature lover. Caerlaverock National Nature Reserve is just down the road or a short stroll along the beach. The area also has a wide range of museums, including the Devils Porridge Museum, where you can learn the story of how this once quiet area flourished into a hub of wartime activity. Beach 100 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
