Only three miles west is the popular market town of Hexham dominated by its majestic abbey, often recognised as the jewel in Northumberland’s crown. Visit the Northumberland Heritage Coast famous for its golden unspoilt beaches and castles, or take a trip across the causeway to legendary Lindisfarne steeped in history.
