The town, with its history of wool, leather, rope and clay trades, nestles in soft rolling hills - an ideal base to explore the coastline, coast path or the wilds of Dartmoor. Elm Cottage is within walking distance of a main rail/bus station; Exeter and Plymouth are close by. Enjoy golf, horse riding, nature reserves, National Trust Bradley Manor, Tuckers Maltings, a traditional malthouse, Newton Abbot Racecourse. Also nearby are the Devon Bird of Prey Centre, Stover and Decoy Country Parks, Trag Mills Shopping and Leisure Centre and the Recreational Trust Tennis and Squash Club.
