The holiday cottage is bright, roomy and well furnished, and is only a mile from the pretty villages of Ford and Etal, which have a ruined castle and thatched pub. Heatherslaw Mill, 2 miles, produces flour using a fascinating old water wheel. The Northumberland National Park and the Scottish Borders are both within easy reach. Berwick, 8 miles. Shop (seasonal) 1 mile, three pubs serving food within 4 miles.
