Being at the foot of the Berwyn Mountains there are plenty of opportunities for walks and a short drive will take you to one of the Seven Wonders of Wales, the magnificent Pistyll Rhaeadr (240 ft high waterfall). The lovely lakes of Vyrnwy and Bala are a little further afield and waiting to be explored. Take a trip to Powys Castle and Gardens, medieval Shrewsbury or Roman Chester or discover the delights of the scenic Snowdonia National Park.
