Situated just a couple of miles from Carsington Water, this wonderful cottage is ideal for a romantic retreat in the Peak District National Park. Step through the front stable door into the well-equipped open plan living area with a compact kitchen and a comfy sitting area, where you can kick back and relax after a day out and about. Head up the beautifully-painted staircase to the charming double bedroom in the eaves of the cottage, which features a full-height window offering magnificent views across the fields. Outside the cottage is a small seating area, and with shared use of the owner’s garden, you can enjoy a morning coffee as you plan the day’s excursions. The village of Brassington boasts a couple of friendly pubs serving food. Just over two miles away is Carsington Water where you can try out a range of watersports, and of course the whole area is a walker’s paradise with fantastic walking and cycling trails all around, including the High Peak Trail, a 17 mile bridleway which runs from Dowlow to Cromford.
