For a rainy day, an hours drive to The Deep Submarium on the Humber Estuary will be a big hit for all the family, or head off into the wonderful rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds, where Hockney took his inspiration from for his famous paintings. With easy cycling and walking opportunities nearby, it provides an excellent base for a wonderful holiday.
