Buoys Cottage is a charming, end of terrace, two bedroom house situated within 100 yards of the beach in the pretty village of Shaldon. Internally, this property boasts open plan living, with a bright kitchen, living and dining area. Externally, the close proximity of the village shops, pubs and beach provide plenty of delightful walking routes and views across the Teign Estuary. Shaldon village itself has five welcoming pubs that, along with the superb views across the estuary, serve some excellent meals as well as cafes, restaurants and bistros to choose from. There is a good range of local shops including a bakery, general stores, a local butcher and a delicatessen. A short climb to 'The Ness', a tree topped cliff overlooking the mouth of the river will be rewarded by a magnificent view across to Teignmouth and out to sea. Other attractions found here include Shaldon Pitch & Putt Golf Course, and Shaldon Wildlife centre, a small zoo dedicated to conservation. Just a short journey across the bridge brings you to the larger seaside town of Teignmouth. You can also take a more scenic passage, by making the journey by the small passenger ferry which departs from Shaldon Beach. Teignmouth Beach is home to a grand Victorian pier, whilst the town centre boasts a selection of shops, cafes and restaurants.
