The beautiful six bedroom Oak cottage is ideal for a large family or group of friends when looking to stay in North Devon. You are also welcome to bring up to three dogs!
The dining room blends seamlessly into the lounge and is located just off of the kitchen. The kitchen itself boasts all the modern day appliances, including an American fridge/freezer, double electric oven and gas hob.
The triple aspect living room captures the best views of the Tawstock countryside and offers something for all the family. The lounge features a lovely gas wood-burner, which is beautifully located in the heart of the open plan living area, making this country cottage a warm and cosy haven to return to in the winter months. The three big comfy sofas are perfect for curling up with a good book or watching a fun family film on the large flat screen TV. Children will also enjoy discovering the array of toys and games carefully hidden in the chest coffee table.
The master bedroom looks elegant and sophisticated, and is a room that would not look out of place in a country mansion. Hints of gold with brown and cream make the room very light and welcoming. The master bedroom also has a large en-suite, with a bath, loo and sink.
The two twin bedrooms also look similar, with plenty of storage for clothes. One of the twin rooms overlooks the courtyard, while the other is more peaceful and quiet as it is located at the back of the Oak. Finally, the bunk room is ideal for children as it is a smaller, but cute, room for two.
The beautiful wood decked terrace featuring antique iron tables with 12 chairs is a wonderful place to watch the sun slowly set behind the hills. Overlooking the garden the enclosed terrace is safe for both children and dogs. Parents can also keep an eye on the youngsters as they play on the grass below. Oak has a charcoal BBQ available in the summer months, which can be enjoyed on the terrace as guests dine in front of the countryside backdrop.
A short walk from the front door is the games room, which can be used by all the guests at Parkgate. This quaint hidey-hole will please both the young and young at heart with table tennis, table football and darts all available. The younger members of the family can also use the children's play area on the grass; the timber play centre includes a slide and two swings.
