Heading in the other direction towards Wrecsam (Wrexham), the Pontcysyllte aqueduct is en-route, with the delightful Ty Mawr Country Park within easy reach. With the historic city of Chester, Cheshire Oaks retail park and plenty of charming villages and towns to explore further afield, there is something for everyone.
