After a day of walking, give your legs a break and hop aboard the heritage Eden Valley Railway, where you can enjoy the breathtaking countryside views as you make your way between towns. Head to Kirkby Stephen where you can tuck into fresh fish and chips from Coast to Coast or settle down for a traditional pub lunch at The Taggy Man, followed by a leisurely stroll along the River Eden. The market town of Appleby-in-Westmorland is a short drive away and is home to the Grade II* Listed St Anne’s Hospital and the delightful Courtyard Gallery.
