Glasson is on the Solway Coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in northern Cumbria. Being located north of the Lake District National Park, south of the borders of Scotland and within easy reach of Northumberland and the North Pennines means it is a perfect base to explore the wildlife steeped countryside. The Upper Solway Flats and Marshes are a RAMSAR site where seals, dolphins and porpoises have been sighted offshore. The Glasson Moss National Nature Reserve is part of the largest undamaged area of lowland raised mire in Britain. The area should appeal to cyclists and walkers alike, as The Cumbrian Cycle way passes through and is situated on the western end of Hadrian s Wall path. This large cottage is a comfortable base to come back to after a long day exploring of what this beautiful part of the country has to offer. Walking into the property, you go through to the lounge, with sofas to sink into and a large TV and DVD player. The kitchen is the heart of the cottage, discuss your day , whilst preparing the evening meal, with an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and an American style fridge / freezer to store all the essentials for a group of 10. There is also a dining room on the ground floor, great for enjoying meal times together. Continuing through the cottage, there are 2 king sized rooms with TV / DVD and plenty of space, 2 twin rooms and a double. All tastefully decorated with a light and airy feel. The ground floor WC, also consists of shower, and the first floor bathroom has a bath and a shower so take your pick! There is a large outside space, with enclosed front and rear gardens to relax in. There is also outdoor seating to enjoy the peacefulness that this cottage has to offer. There is a private driveway for up to 5 cars.
