Region: From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain’s best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

Town: Only seven miles from the ancient town of Callander is the small settlement of Strathyre, which is named after the Gaelic phrase meaning "broad winding valley" and is located at the head of Loch Lubnaig, protected by Ben Ledi, Ben Vane, and Ben Shian. As a former resting point for cattle drovers and current home to a café, a small village store, a post office, and a tavern that serves meals, Strathyre has long been a favourite destination for tourists. Beautiful, verdant woodlands cover the hills on either side of the valley, drawing hikers, cyclists, and fell runners every year. In May, competitors compete in the strenuous Strathyre Stuc a Chroin 5000 hill race. The 18-hole golf course at Callander, which is among the top ten courses in Scotland, is only a short drive away.

Located in Lochearnhead, this cottage is on a lake. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park and Loch Earn, while Galleria Luti and Hamilton Toy Collection are cultural highlights. Discover the area's water adventures with fishing nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with hiking and cycling.
