Region: From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain’s best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

Town: The small community of Stanley, which is situated in the midst of Scotland, next to the River Tay. Stanley dates back to the 1700s when it was constructed to house the Stanley Mills' employees. There are several shops and a restaurant in the village. The river is nearby, and there are excellent canoeing and fishing facilities. The historic Stanley Mills, which was recently rebuilt, is located on the outskirts of the hamlet and relates the tale of the mills and the people who worked there. Excellent family adventure park is available. More well-known are the Birnam Oak, also known as Macbeth's Oak, and the Birnam Sycamore, which are thought to be the only surviving members of the vast forest that formerly covered the hillsides and banks of the River Tay. Perth offers a wide variety of good restaurants, cafés, parks, and stores to visit, is located in Scotland not far from Stanley. This magnificent city is the recipient of numerous honours and prizes, including as the Scottish Tourist City of the Year award and the Beautiful Scotland in Bloom award. Perth is also close to the Palace of Scone, which is well worth a visit. The enormous collection of uncommon and exotic plants can be found in the Branklyn gardens, which are open from April to October.

Located in Perth, this cottage is in a rural area and on a river. Active Kids Adventure Park and Blairgowrie Golf Club are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore The Hermitage and Loch of the Lowes. Fishing offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking nearby.
