Situated just a 15-minute walk from the cliff top, with the tram or the footpath leading you down to the beach below, you are perfectly positioned to enjoy a stay on the glorious coastline, with nearby Staithes, Runswick Bay and Whitby all within easy reach.
Stepping inside Monty House, on the ground floor you have the living room at the front of the property with large bay windows bathing the room in light, complete with an open fire. The rear of the house has a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area, as well as a raised second living room, complete with a games console which is sure to delight younger family members. The made to measure dining table is perfect for family meals, as well as games nights. There is also a ground floor shower room – perfect for rinsing off after a sandy day at the beach. The rear enclosed garden is small in size yet well presented, with the added bonus of lockable outdoor storage, perfect for beach equipment including surfboards.
Upstairs you have three bedrooms, each with its own character and a playful use of colour. There is a master king bedroom, which is wonderful and spacious, with the addition of a day bed making it flexible for those with a young child, plus a zip and link twin room which can be made up as a super king for couples, as well as a triple bunk room. You also have a bathroom on this floor, there is nothing like a long bubbly soak with a good book and a glass of something special after a busy day exploring. The house is a great size for families, as well as friends travelling together.
In Saltburn the beach is the main attraction, with the glorious long sand stretching for miles. You have a surf school here, as well as paddleboard hire, plus in the summer months there is beach yoga. All year round surfers brave the waves and it really is a sight to behold. Take a wander down to the pier or watch from the comfort of one of the seafront restaurants or bars.
For keen walkers, or even those who just enjoy coastal panoramas, the Cleveland Way is a gorgeous scenic trail along the clifftops, connecting Saltburn to the neighbouring coastal towns and villages, including Runswick Bay, Staithes, Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay. It stretches for miles, so it may be worth doing smaller sections so you can enjoy the many highlights. You also have the vast North York Moors National Park to explore, this is a wonderful destination throughout all of the changing seasons.

Located in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, this cottage is on a river. Winkies Castle and Guisborough Priory are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Saltburn Golf Club and Saltburn Valley Gardens. Kirkleatham Owl Centre and Zetland Lifeboat Museum are also worth visiting. Take an opportunity to explore the area for water adventures such as fishing and other activities like golfing.
