It is set up as a perfect romantic getaway for two with stunning sea views over Hythe and across the stunning rolling hills of Kent. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the cabin has everything you could want or need. The views across Kent are absolutely stunning especially just as the setting sun disappears behind the last peak. In the mornings the sun rises over the stunning sea view too if you’re up early enough of course!
The owners have kitted this place out as they would want to find a holiday home they visited and live close by to offer any assistance if needed. Due to the surrounding fields having sheep, there is a no pets policy, but this will simply add to the tranquillity you will feel when staying here. You will almost feel in the wilderness yet will be only 15 minutes’ drive to Hythe to enjoy a lovely seaside day out and traditional fish and chips! Closer by you have Port Lympne Safari Park around 6 minutes’ drive. The property is also directly located on the ancient Saxon Shore Way, where you walk alongside beautiful views; fantastic for landscape artists.
From beautiful old houses and cottages to a skull-packed ossuary in the 10th century St Leonard’s crypt, Hythe has plenty of interesting historical sights to see. Visitors can ride the one-third size trains on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway; a scenic, marsh-side meander across the Romney Marsh to Dungeness, hauled by steam or diesel powered engines. Nearby, the popular destination of Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve is not to be missed, with its stunning scenery, endangered animals and award-winning accommodation. It’s a must-see for any visitor to the area and will easily occupy a full day. Saltwood village, just a mile north of Hythe, is home to Saltwood Castle, famed for being the location where the plot was hatched to assassinate Thomas Becket. Although the castle is rarely open to the public, group visits can be arranged. Beach 6½ miles.
