This exceptional spacious house is the ideal setting for family holidays as well as friends looking for somewhere special to return to after a day exploring the glorious Yorkshire Coastline. An abundance of restaurants, cafés, bars and shops are within easy reach, as well as Scarborough’s many attractions, including the castle, Peasholm Park with its oriental gardens and boating lake as well as the grand Scarborough Spa, which hosts many events and festivals all year round.
On arrival, steps lead you up through the tiered garden to the front door. Stepping inside, the hallway leads you to the open plan living and dining area at the front of the property, and the kitchen at the rear. The open plan living area is a great size for entertaining in an evening, you can play board games at the large dining table or relax on the large corner sofa in front of the glow from the wood burner, as you have a movie night together. The kitchen is also spacious and enjoyable, with everything needed to create all of your favourite family meals. A back door from the kitchen leads you into the back garden, with steps leading up to the raised patio area, with outdoor seating. Up on the first floor, you have three wonderful bedrooms to choose from: the master kinsize bedroom has a dressing table in the bay window as well as an en-suite shower; a double bedroom; and a triple bunk room which has a double bed on the bottom and single bed on top. The bunk room also has a full-sized cot in the bay window, perfect for infants. Each room has a wardrobe for all of your belongings. The house bathroom is modern and inviting with a walk-in shower. The house can accommodate up to seven guests in total, perfect for families or even up to three couples travelling together. Your furry friend is welcome to join you, Scarborough is a fabulous destination for dogs, with many scenic walking trails, plus many of the bars and cafes in this area welcome dogs.
In Scarborough you have a great choice of attractions including Alpamare water park and spa, The Sea Life Centre and one of the largest open air theatres in Europe. Nearby for children is Flamingoland theme park and zoo as well as the Eden Camp war museum where you can step back in time. The seaside resorts of Filey, Flamborough Head and Bridlington are just a short drive away as well as the RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs. Here you will see lots of migrating birds perched on the chalk cliffs, including if you look carefully colourful puffins. To the north you have the beautiful coastal town of Whitby to visit, as well as quirky Robin Hoods Bay, both are quaint with cobbled streets and little independent shops and cafés to explore, as well as scenic views and beaches to enjoy. The city of York is just an hour away by car or there is a direct train from Scarborough right into the centre. This wonderful medieval city is well worth a visit, with museums as well as the awe-inspiring cathedral to visit. Beach ½ mile.
