Situated in the historic seafaring village of Staithes, where characterful cottages spill from the clifftops down to the water’s edge. Enjoy incredible panoramic views over the village, the harbour and out to sea.. Ground Floor:

Bedroom 3: With 3 single beds.. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate. . Parking in public car park at cost. No smoking. . This characterful quirky fisherman’s cottage is in an enviable elevated position, with incredible uninterrupted views. As with many of the traditional fisherman’s cottages in the village it is accessed only by foot via a footpath. Stepping inside you are drawn to the dining room which gives you those desirable views. This room opens out onto your private balcony where you can soak up the scenery in the sunshine. This could be the best viewpoint in the village, and it is all yours. The dining room also has a sofa as well as a TV if you can drag your eyes away from the scenery surrounding you. There is a separate lounge with sofas around the open fire for cosy evenings, plus a well-equipped kitchen, ideal for longer stays. On this ground floor you also have the family bathroom. Spiral stairs lead to the first floor bedroom with three single beds under the eaves and with sea views. On the lower ground floor are two double bedrooms and a shower room. This cottage is a great size for families as well as friends. Dogs are welcome to join you on your stay and they are sure to have the holiday of a lifetime. Most pubs and cafes are dog friendly as well as most beaches.
As the cottage is at the top of the village you are only a 5-minute walk from the car park, as well as only a 2 minute walk down to the harbour, where you have independent cafes, pubs and quaint shops. Staithes is a fascinating village with a lot of history. Take time to explore the free museum as well as the art gallery. Each year the annual art festival draws visitors from around the UK and this village continues to inspire many artists with its beautiful scenery. The area offers walking trails including the Cleveland Way leading across the cliff tops which links other pretty coastal villages such as Runswick Bay, Robin Hoods Bay as well as Skinningrove. The popular coastal town of Whitby is nearby which delights guests with its cobbled old town, boat trips and the iconic abbey ruins. Or visit Saltburn which is a surfer’s paradise, with a beautiful Victorian pier. For a day out you can take a trip on the steam train across the North Yorkshire Moors, soaking up the views. This is a great choice for guests looking to explore the breath taking scenery of the Yorkshire Coast as well as the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. A great choice all year round.
