Sleeping up to seven guests, Oswy Street is a welcoming holiday home. Located a short walk from the centre of Whitby on a quiet street, the property is perfectly situated to explore the seaside town. Lovingly decorated and filled with personality, you’ll have full access to the property during your stay which includes three bedrooms, a family bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, cosy living/dining space and enclosed outdoor space. The ideal place to stay, Oswy Street will provide great memories.

The Space:
Oswy Street is a fantastic choice when holidaying on the North Yorkshire coast. This dog friendly retreat is perfect for a getaway with friends or a staycation with family. Packed with charm and character, Oswy Street boasts interesting artwork and a vast collection of books.

The living and dining room at Oswy Street is a great place to socialise and unwind with your loved ones. Boasting a comfortable sofa, armchair, flat screen TV, and log burning fire, the living area is cosy and homely. The dining area features a wooden table and matching dining chairs. A book lovers dream, you'll find plenty of books on the shelves which you are welcome to read during your stay!

Also on the ground floor is the modern kitchen which has all of the appliances you could need including an oven, hob, microwave, refrigerator, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and washing machine. Shaker in style, the kitchen features dove grey cabinets and light wood worktops to create a beautiful space.

The kitchen conveniently opens out onto a gravelled courtyard. With a Weber BBQ and outdoor seating, it's the perfect spot for alfresco dining. There is also outdoor lighting and additional electric sockets which you can make use of during your stay.

You’ll find two bedrooms and the family bathroom room on the first floor. The master bedroom boasts a king size bed and the second bedroom is home to a bunk bed which sleeps three guests with a double bed on the bottom and single bed on the top.

The family bathroom is where you’ll find a bathtub with overhead shower, WC and wash basin.

On the second floor, you’ll find the third bedroom which is a king bedroom. All beds inside the property are made up using plush bedding and premium linens to guarantee a great night’s sleep.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

Free on-street parking is available nearby on a first come, first served basis. No permit is required.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome per reservation.

Please note that there is a steep staircase to access the second floor bedroom.

The Neighborhood:
Set on the West side of Whitby, Oswy Street is just a short five minute walk into the centre of town. Head to Pier Road and you’ll find cosy pubs, fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants. Continue along the lively road until you reach the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts. At the other end of Pier Road, you’ll notice the swing bridge which sits over the River Esk.

Over the bridge, you’ll find yourself on the East bank which is full of narrow medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.

Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.

Getting Around:
Whitby train station is less than half a mile away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
