Fully refurbished in 2019, The Croft is a ground floor annexe with private parking, situated just a short stroll from the centre of the charming village of Sedgefield, near Durham. Providing level entry access suitable for wheelchair users or for guests with limited mobility, The Croft is open plan with a fitted kitchen, modified with lower level worktops and under-counter access for a wheelchair user. There is a comfortable living area leading into the bedroom space. A large fully-tiled wet room with non-slip flooring, raised height toilet, grab rails and shower seat complete the accommodation.
Sedgefield dates back to the 13th century, and was believed to exist as a Roman settlement. With a pretty village green at its centre, it boasts a good choice of pubs, restaurants and tea rooms close by.
Conveniently located just minutes from the A1, Sedgefield links up with a host of local attractions. The city of Durham is a short drive away. A World Heritage Site, with a magnificent cathedral and castle and an array of medieval architecture, Durham has winding cobbled streets, unique shops, pubs and restaurants. A little further afield, yet still a short drive, a day out at Beamish Museum is a must for all.
Nearby Sedgefield Races are a regular feature on the local calendar, and take place all year round. Why not visit Alnwick, with its famous castle used in the Harry Potter films, or the Heritage Coast, peppered with castles and golden beaches? York, with its beautiful minster, can be reached within just an hour.
The Croft can be booked together with Durham House (ref UKC911) to accommodate up to 19 guests. Beach 18 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

Located in Stockton-on-Tees, this cottage is on a river. Sedgefield Racecourse and Billingham Golf Club are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Planet Leisure and Sweet Greetings. National Railway Museum at Shildon and Adventure Point are also worth visiting. Take an opportunity to explore the area for water adventures such as fishing and other activities like golfing.
