Sit out on the patio and watch the wildlife on your doorstep. It may feel remote but the nearby village of Chart Sutton, on the edge of the Weald of Kent, has pubs/restaurants and a small petrol station/shop and the county town of Maidstone is only six miles distant for trains to London in only 45 minutes.
