Space
The flat is spacious and charming, with colourful and characteristic furniture throughout.
There is a living room, kitchen, one bedroom and a study off of the bedroom. There are three beds in the flat one queen size bed in the bedroom. Please note, if you use the study for a bedroom you have to walk through the bedroom to get to the loo - so it is for people that are comfortable with each other - good mates or family.
Our home only has one small modern shower and toilet room, newly fitted in June 2017 so this flat suits friends and family who are happy to share. The kitchen was fitted in January 2018.
Please do note that our flat is located on the third floor of the building.

Neighborhood
The flat is situated in 'Newington' a buzzy major Southside area. South Edinburgh adjoins the Old Town everything is close by and accessible. You are 15 minutes walk to Princes Street, the multi-arts venue Summerhall at the east end of the Meadows is close and its a 10 minute walk to the Royal Mile. You could get from the Grassmarket in the Old Town to Cloisters in Brougham Street, South Edinburgh’s best cask ale bar, in ten minutes or so. Around this part of the city you can find artisan chocolate, craft beer, good whisky, independent cinema, innovative cuisine and a great deal more besides.
JK Rowling wrote Harry Potter in the nearby cafes, and if you love mooching around second hand and vintage and independent shops this is a great area. As the apartment is on the top floor of a quiet apartment building it is a quiet and peaceful space.
Also, a must do if you have time is a walk up Arthurs Seat, come out of the front door and walk to your right, keep walking over two roads and you get to the foot of the mountain and can either walk up or around.
Transit
EDINBURGH AIRPORT: From Edinburgh Airport take the tram to Princes Street or the Airlink bus to the final stop. From here take the a Lothian Buses numb(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN).
TRAIN: The nearest railway station is Edinburgh Waverley. From the station take a Lothian Buses number 3, 5, 8 & 29 or any of the buses listed above.
BUSES: Lothian Buses is the main bus operator here in Edinburgh. They offer a great free app that provides route maps, fare information and live bus times. It is a great tool for getting around the city.
