City Centre Chic for Two near Calton Hill, Edinburgh

A lovely, carefully designed Edinburgh apartment in a superb, central location and ideal for two. Built in 1890, but newly decorated with a modern shower room and fully equipped kitchen, our flat has everything you need for a hotel style stay, but with all the comforts of home. We are also only a 10-15 minute walk from Calton Hill, Princes Street and Waverley Station, making this the perfect place to base yourself.

The space
Our second floor flat is ideal for two people and has everything you need for a comfortable stay - recently installed shower room and boiler, which gives you heat and hot water on demand, a large, fully equipped eat-in kitchen with TV (Freeview channels) and a beautiful bedroom/lounge with a double bed and armchairs to relax in. There is also another TV in this room (Virgin Tivo box), so why not relax in bed and watch a film after a busy day of sightseeing! (NB: You can only access Netflix if you have your own account to sign into)

PLEASE NOTE: we only have a walk-in shower - no bathtub!

HOUSE RULES:
ALTIDO Scotland wants you to have a fantastic stay, so encourage you to see the space as a home away from home - treating it as though it is yours! There are, of course, a few things we politely ask guests to note before their arrival and throughout their stay:
- Strictly no smoking, no parties, no pets
- Dispose of rubbish appropriately
- Keep the property clean and tidy
- Whilst washing up and stripping the beds at check out would be appreciated, it is by no means expected
- Quiet hours are between 10:00 PM and 9:00 AM. Please keep the noise down and respect other neighbours in the building
- Please remember to close all windows and doors when leaving the space
- Careful attention to the keys is extremely important. Guests are responsible for any additional costs resulting from misplaced keys or locksmith call-outs.
To ensure the safety of our current and future guests, we ask all guests to complete our online check-in form and to provide a valid form of identification.

Guest access
The whole flat is yours to enjoy during your stay. WiFi is fast, free and unlimited.

There is on street parking outside, which is chargeable (£2/hour) from 8:30am - 5:30pm Mondays to Fridays for a maximum of 4 hours. Outside of these times it is free, including all day Saturday and Sunday with no restriction on how long you can stay.

Other things to note
TOWELS/BED LINEN: We use a professional short term let cleaning company and provide high quality linens and towels so you don't need to bring your own.

ACCESS: Our flat is in a Victorian tenement building, built around 1890 and, like hundreds of other tenements across Edinburgh, is accessed from the street via a communal front door leading to the communal stair (entrance hallway). The hallway is typical of most Edinburgh tenements and has some fantastic original features, which we think adds to the charm and character of the building, so hope you will too.

STAIRS: There is no lift in this old building and our flat is on the second floor, so you will need to carry your luggage up the stone steps. Take care as some of the lower ones are a little worn from the thousands of feet that have trodden them over the last 120 years! PLEASE, PLEASE don't drag your luggage up the steps ... this not only damages the stone, but also creates noise for the residents of our building - thank you.

BATHROOM: We only have a walk-in shower - no bathtub!

TUMBLE DRYER: Although you will see one in the kitchen, it does not work and we have disconnected it for your safety. We have a small airer if you do need to dry a small amount of laundry. Alternatively, there is a public launderette a short walk away on Leith Walk where you can use their dryers.

ALTIDO Scotland will be in touch to assist you with airport transfers and in-stay services, such as in-stay cleans, linen changes and childcare equipment.
