## Neighborhood
Formally a small village, Canonmills owes its origins and name to the Augustinian canons of Holyrood Abbey who operated a mill her from the 12th century. The draw to Canonmills as a residential location is its close proximity to the Royal Botanic Gardens and Inverleith park, both wonderful outdoor spaces that can be enjoyed all year round. Similarly to Stockbridge the neighbourhood is home to many young professionals with plenty of great places to eat and drink. ## Transit
Edinburgh Airport: From the airport take the Tram or Airlink bus to York Place. From here the apartment is a quick taxi ride or a 10 minute walk.
Train: The nearest railway station is Edinburgh Waverley. From the station take Lothian Bus number 8 or it is a 15 minute walk. Alternatively the apartment is a quick taxi ride away.
Buses: Lothian Buses are the main bus operator in Edinburgh. They offer a great free app that provides route maps, fare information and live bus times. Its a great tool for getting around the city.
## Notes
This apartment is located in Bonnington, a neighborhood in Edinburgh. Edinburgh Castle and Royal Mile are notable landmarks and Edinburgh Zoo is a popular area attraction. Looking to enjoy an event or a game while in town? See what's happening at Easter Road Stadium or Meadowbank Stadium.
