Rowan cottage at Kames is a traditional Victorian Scottish cottage which has been extended, modernised and improved since it was built in 1860.

Sitting on the west side of the Kyles of Bute it has stunning views of the Island of Bute from the large patio windows which open onto a large decking area ideal for alfresco dining.

Secluded behind a stone wall you are guaranteed a quiet get away from it all break.

Interior
Set over two levels the lower half houses 2 double bedrooms. There is also a double sofa bed in the upstairs lounge.

Upstairs is the open plan lounge and kitchen area. Here you will find a lounge with oak flooring and open fire. This adjoins a well equipped modern kitchen and dining area.
On the mid level there is a recently renovated family bathroom complete with luxury bath, large separate shower and WC.

Explore
The village is served by Kames Hotel, Duncans the Grocer and the Post Office, all within two minutes walk.

From here you have a huge choice of options in "Argylls secret coast" including.

- The Cowal way - explore all or part of Argyll - known as ‘Scotland in 57 miles’. This accessible part of the Scottish Highlands offers beautiful coastlines, dramatic scenery, engaging heritage, abundant wildlife, and very friendly communities and people.
Kames cottage lies on the Way itself - a perfect step off point.
- Kyle of Bute golf course - a challenging 9 hole course with some of the best views in Scotland
- day trips to Rothesay Oban Inveraray and Campbeltown

This cottage is located in Tighnabruaich. Loch Lomond and Cowal Way - West and Kintyre Way are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Loch Fyne and Kilbride Bay Beach. Bute Museum and Ardencraig Gardens are also worth visiting.
