Town: Wye, a little village between Ashford and Canterbury, is located in the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The picturesque village was once home to a popular racecourse and is overlooked by the Wye Downs area of chalk downland and woodland. Its historical roots as an important communication centre can be traced to the ford across the River Great Stour, which connected ancient trackway across the North Downs. Furthermore, in 2013, it was ranked as the UK's third-best location to call home. The Green now hosts a bimonthly farmers market where residents and visitors may buy fresh vegetables and see the remarkable collection of historic buildings that the community has on its National Register of Historic Places. A trip to the nearby Jacobean Godinton House and Gardens or The New Fox Inn can be followed by a trip to the nearby supermarket in Ashford. Visit the Roman Museum, St. Augustine's Abbey, the majestic Westgate Towers Museum and viewpoint (complete with an escape room! ), and the Norman-built Canterbury Cathedral in the famed, ancient city of Canterbury, which is easily accessible through a lovely drive through the AONB. Wye serves as a great home base from which to explore any of these nearby areas.

Located in Canterbury, this cottage is in a rural area and by the sea. Chilham Village and Mount Ephraim Gardens are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include AMF Bowling Ashford and Garden of St Mary de Castro. Looking to enjoy an event or a game while in town? See what's happening at St. Lawrence Ground or Folkestone Racecourse. Break out the clubs and hit the links with a golf course nearby, or seek out an adventure with hiking/biking trails and cycling.
