Beautiful "ECO" barn conversion in Wye Valley - ideal for couples plus two kids, Penallt

Monmouthshire. Sleeps up to 4

High View Barn is a brand new barn conversion in a unique private setting high up on a ridge overlooking the Wye Valley near Monmouth. It is the perfect romantic getaway for a couple (or a couple with two teenage children) set half a mile from the nearest road at the end of private track. The property is set in 63 acres against a woodland backdrop with gorgeous views over the surrounding countryside to the Forest of Dean and beyond.

The barn is an open plan "indoor/outdoor" building with up to the minute insulation and heating technologies and all modern conveniences within. The kitchen features a complete wall of triple glazed glass with a huge sliding door giving onto an outdoor patio/lawn area. The living room is the full height of the barn featuring the original beams. Off this is a king size bedroom which can be open plan or closed off for complete privacy. If required there is an upstairs balcony which can accommodate two teenage children in 3 ft single beds.

On the same property we also have Church Hill Farm (Homeaway no: 838758) which can accommodate up to 9 people. You may wish to rent the two properties together.

This vacation home is located in Trellech United, a neighborhood in Monmouth, and is in a rural area and on a river. Nelson Museum & Local History Centre and Taurus Crafts are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Shire Hall and Great Castle House. Chepstow Racecourse and Symonds Yat West Leisure Park are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
