Situated within walking distance from the globally famous John o’Groats (the end of the road), the Ha Farmhouse is one of the most North Eastern self-catering accommodation available in the UK. The house sleeps up to 8 people and is available all year round.

The traditional farmhouse situated on a working farm has been in the Cowe family for over three generations. Having been recently re-furbished the house offers a high quality accommodation with a very clean, modern and exquisite look which we are sure you will love.

The large fully fitted kitchen is well equipped with, dish washer, fridge and electric range cooker. The dining table seats 8 people and French doors open out onto the patio area for enjoying a barbecue on a mild summer’s evening.

One double bedroom is located downstairs while the other two along with the twin room is upstairs. All have newly fitted carpets, modern décor and we are sure you will have a comfortable night’s sleep.

What’s Included: Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and household cleaning products. Our welcome pack contains fresh bread, milk, butter, tea, coffee, sugar and selection packs of biscuits. Also awaiting our guests will be a bottle of red or white wine along with a selection box of chocolates. What better way to relax after making your journey to John o'Groats!

Directions: From Wick take the A99 north and continue to John o’Groats, on entering the village and passing the Post Office take the first on your left A836 to Thurso (directly opposite the Seaview Hotel). The Ha Farmhouse is directly facing you and driveway entrance is the first on your right (second driveway).

From Thurso take the A836 to John o’Groats, pass by Gills, Canisbay and Huna. We are on the left just before the Seaview Hotel.

A Bit More About The Area: Why not use the private foot path down to the beach and enjoy the beautiful views of Stroma and the Orkney Islands. Take a stroll to John o’Groats harbour, book various sea life adventure trips that let you cruise the Pentland Firth, pass rugged cliff scenery and explore the rich coastline. What better way to see Atlantic grey seals, dolphins, puffins, razorbills, kittiwakes and perhaps even one or two killer whales. If your feeling a bit more adventurous why not try the white-water RIB experience adventure, all available on your door step.

A visit to John o’Groats is not complete without exploring the famous Stacks of Duncansby, situated not far from Duncansby Head, where there is also a lighthouse. Here you can explore the area by different walks overlooking the Orkney Islands. There is also a lovely beach called Sannick that is worth a visit and if you’re lucky you might come across some seals basking in the sun while being there.

Located in Wick, this farm stay is in a rural area and near the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Duncansby Stacks and Duncansby Head, while Caithness Broch Centre and Mary-Ann's Cottage are cultural highlights. Discover the area's water adventures with rafting and sailing nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with hiking and horse riding.
