Neyland Marina and Boat Trips to Bird IslandsVarious boat trips leave from the Marina - Shearwater Safaris, trips to the bird islands of Skomer and Grassholm, Dale Sea Safari Wildlife Adventures, Pembrokeshire Cruising as well as trips exploring the inland 'Secret Waterway' with its quiet inlets, waterside pubs and restaurants. Enjoy a meal in either the 1st floor bar/restaurant or quayside café which overlooks the interesting marina and the multi-coloured yachts in their berths - there is a chandlery here tooBrunel Cycle TrailStarting (or ending) at Neyland Marina Brunel's Trail is part of the Celtic Trail from Chepstow to Fishguard via Swansea. Traffic-free and well signed, with some gentle climbs, this is a popular shared-use path which links Neyland, once the western terminus of Brunel's Great Western Railway, with Johnston and Haverfordwest. The Trail follows the picturesque Cleddau Estuary through Westfield Pill Nature Reserve, along the now disused Great Western Railway line to Johnston and then north to Haverfordwest along a path which runs parallel to the railway. PembrokeThis historic town has the finest preserved medieval castle in Pembrokeshire (birthplace of Henry VII), and re-enactments and various events take place here throughout the year and was the setting used for some scenes in 'Richard II', part of the BBC's Shakespeare season 'The Hollow Crown'. There are gift and craft shops - do visit The Corn Store with its excellent café, an excellent delicatessen, several pubs, a fish and chip restaurant/takeaway and an enormous antique centre housed in a disused chapel. Mill Pond Circular WalkTake a leisurely stroll around the Mill Pond through lovely deciduous woodland teeming with wildlife - swans, bats and otters. There are sites of historical and architectural interest too including the medieval walls of Pembroke Town itself. South Pembrokeshire, Marloes Peninsula (NT) and St Brides Bay beachesA short drive away are many of Pembrokeshire's wonderful beaches - over the bridge to the south, Freshwater East, Barafundle and Broad Haven South or west to the Marloes Peninsula and the beaches of St Brides Bay. Marloes Sands is one of Pembrokeshire's finest beaches - a huge expanse of sand at low tide with interesting cliff formations and rock pools at low tide to explore. Divided into little 'bays' a climb over the rocks at the western end leads to Albion Sands, a perfect little sandy beach. Upton Castle Gardens, CoshestonDo enjoy a few hours exploring 35 acres of charming parkland including an arboretum, formal gardens, walled garden and medieval chapel.'Dawn til Dusk' Rosemarket Golf Club, RosemarketKeen golfers will love this beautiful scenic countryside course. The club has an integral grass airstrip to welcome visitors from all over the country and promotes a 'Golf for All' policy. The course has mature trees and some rather tricky ponds which love eating golf balls. Family Days OutWithin an easy drive there is a huge choice of attractions and activities for all ages to enjoy - Folly Farm, Anna Ryder Richardson's Wild Welsh Zoo, Manor House Wildlife Park, Dinosaur Park, the Blue Lagoon Water Park, The Overhang climbing wall and Heatherton Sports Park. Gorgeous stylish holiday house overlooking the fascinating Haven Waterway suitable for year round breaks.
