The Beach Boathouse Carnoustie, Carnoustie

Angus. Sleeps up to 8

This colourful former lifeboat house makes for an ideal and unique beachfront holiday home. You are just steps away from the beautiful golden sands of Westhaven with its sheltered shallow bay. The house is perfect for simply relaxing, and the views are stunning. And with four bedrooms there’s plenty of room for family and friends too. Should you want a break from the beach, it’s only 10 minutes to the centre of Carnoustie with shops and services plus, of course, its famous links golf courses.

This historic building has been thoughtfully refurbished to bring out its best original features – like the archway where the lifeboats were brought in and out - whilst adding modern home comforts.
Set over 2 floors, there are 4 modern bedrooms ( 2 King beds and 2 doubles) with one of them en-suite. There’s a bright spacious lounge with log burner and fantastic picture window looking out to the sea. You’ve a fully equipped modern kitchen and a quirky dining table that seats 6, plus there’s a lovely large balcony with outdoor seating overlooking the shore. You can look out for dolphins from here! With a sparkling main bathroom and free parking outside, there’s so much to love about this beautiful beach house.

LOCATION

Set at the end of a row of fishermen’s cottages in the peaceful coastal community of Westhaven, the Beach Boathouse is an ideal location for a holiday home. There is a sandy beach right in front of the property and you can walk or cycle for miles in each direction. The beach itself is surrounded by rocks, which protect it from the strongest currents, making it a good place for bathing in the relatively shallow water and for exploring rockpools at low tide.

The lovely town of Carnoustie is minutes away with several local shops, pubs and cafes. There’s a train station on the main East Coast railway line between Aberdeen and Edinburgh making rail travel an easy option. You are also around 13 miles from Dundee and the road network is excellent road making exploring by car a breeze.

The local area has lots of interesting attractions including the V & A museum, plus shopping and entertainment centres in Dundee, and of course several first class golf courses including Carnoustie and St Andrews, situated across the Tay estuary.

Welcome to the Beach Boathouse and have a fantastic stay!
