Windyridge is a large well-presented cottage with individual styling in every room. It is rich in history and dates back to the 1840’s. This luxurious property has been refurbished to a high standard, but still manages to maintain a cosy cottage feel to it with many original features to be found. The property is located at the very top of a hill in Oxwich, allowing some beautiful sea views and sights of the surrounding area.

The travel magazine has been quoted as saying “Oxwich is the most beautiful beach in Britain” and was also awarded as an AONB (Area of outstanding natural beauty).

The location itself makes this area a must visit, with the added bonus that this property is spacious, well presented yet quirky and fun at the same time. It is the perfect holiday property and even has its own heated swimming pool (open April to September).

There are plenty of outdoor seating areas to enjoy the views from, out the front of the house there is an enclosed garden opening up to the sea views and a table and chairs to enjoy them from.

Whilst already a good-sized property it also sports a large conservatory extension directly attached onto the kitchen. This gives a nice open plan feel to the area and completes the relaxing atmosphere created by this stunning holiday cottage. As you enter through the porch on the front, there is space to store your coats and shoes before you move into the spacious lounge. You couldn’t ask for more from a traditional aesthetic of this large living space. A shipwreck provided the exposed wooden beams on the ceiling and traditional stonework is on view throughout. This is finished off with a feature wood burning stove, set back into an inglenook fireplace in its stone surround. The lounge has plenty of comfy seating as well as a large coffee table for those quiet nights in to just sit and enjoy the magnificent ambiance created by the traditional styling.

Moving through to the spacious kitchen, open planned into the large conservatory, there is plenty of space to prepare meals or just sit and relax. Complete with a Rayburn cooker and the usual kitchen equipment such as a fridge freezer, oven and hobs, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and utensils. You will be able to prep your meals for your family and friends on the polished granite work tops in style. This spacious area is like a 2nd living room which can open out onto the patio area, complemented by comfy living room furniture as well as a large dining table that can sit up to 8 people.

During the summer months, this light and airy room will probably be the focal point of the holiday allowing the perfect transition between outdoors and indoors when you open up the large Georgian style French doors. So, step outside onto the tiered patio levels and enjoy an area that will remind you of a Spanish Villa, with its luxurious heated swimming pool and surrounding natural stone. There is room for all in this large well designed outdoor area for relaxing in the sun, splashing in the pool, or even sitting around a large outdoor table and chairs.

After a long hard day or relaxing by the pool, its time to hit the bedrooms. The downstairs room is complete with a bunk bed and a small vanity mirror and chair. This is the perfect room for the kids to stay in as its downstairs and what child doesn’t love a bunk bed! There is also a large chest of draws providing ample storage for their clothes. Upstairs there is a selection of bedrooms to choose from, each one with its own unique and individual styling, some with a bit of a theme and others with nice neutral colours to compliment the room.

On the first floor, you will find a split-level landing leading to the master bedroom – This room, is a pale pink with matching vaulted ceiling and exposed pink beams. There is a nice matching floral feel to this room which makes it feel traditional, cosy, and homely. There is a King Size bed as well as a large wardrobe, vanity table and mirror, seating by the window and beautiful views to enjoy.

The next room consists of a king sized bed with a vaulted and beamed ceiling, floral soft furnishings, and garden views. Complete with its own sink, large mirror and granite surround. The next room has twin 2ft x 6ft single beds and decorated with a nautical theme in light blues, again with coastal views. This room additionally has its own sink and is perfect for the beach lover! The next room has a double bed and also a vanity unit. This bedroom has good coastal views from both windows. Complete with a large full length mirror.

There are 3 bathrooms within the property, one has a traditional free standing roll top bath with a hand shower connected to the taps. There is even a window with a view over some of the rolling countryside to enjoy whilst you soak away a hard day of relaxation. The other bathroom has a toilet and large separate shower cubicle, wash basin and towel warmer.
