Clearwell with its ancient caves and eeire caverns and the village of St Briavels with its castle are nearby, while further afield lies the market town of Ross-on-Wye with timbered Tudor Houses, excellent shops, pubs and restaurants.

Located in Lydney, this cottage is in a rural area and on a river. Taurus Crafts and Sculpture Trail are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Go Ape at Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire and Puzzlewood. Wenchford Picnic Site and Perrygrove Railway & Treetop Adventure are also worth visiting. Break out the clubs and hit the links with a golf course nearby, or seek out an adventure with cycling and hiking/biking trails.
