Wayside Cottage is a very comfortable, detached cottage situated in the village of High Newton, just half a miles walk from the beautiful sandy beach reached via a quiet country lane. There is also a good pub in the village serving food and the cottage makes an ideal base from which to explore this outstanding stretch of the Northumberland coastline.

Town: The small coastal village of Newton is situated on Northumberland's Heritage Coastline between the popular fishing villages of Craster, famous for its kippers, and Beadnell. Beadnell Bay offers excellent sandy beaches and there are spectacular coastal paths with wonderful scenery. The village has a pub which serves food and the historic town of Alnwick is only a short drive away.

Located in Alnwick, this cottage is by the sea. Embleton Tower and Dunstanburgh Castle are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Northumberland Coast and Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve. Take an opportunity to explore the area for water adventures such as fishing.
