The property has been refurbished with wonderful fabrics and glorious antiques. It is situated on a working deer farm, and guests can enjoy walking in the gardens and around the farm to see the deer and Highland ponies.

Set on a working deer farm, The Garden Suite has one twin bedroom and is ideal for couples or friends. Sharing the lovely sunken courtyard with Pitscandly House and The Courtyard Suite (ref UK12058), guests have access to the sunken courtyard and the magnificent historic walled garden. This fantastic and peaceful area is the perfect place to relax with a book, or indeed as a base to explore the area.

Once you have taken a stroll through the stunning grounds of the farm and admire the deer and ponies, you could then venture out further afield and discover all that Angus has to offer. The formidable, 14th-century Glamis Castle is 8 miles away, where guided tours of the castle are available and its wonderful gardens are spectacular. Balmoral Castle, Blair Athol Castle and Scone Palace are also well worth a visit.
Dundee is just 20 minutes’ away and boasts the wonderful V&A Design Museum, the McManus Galleries, Discovery and the Unicorn, all of which are ’must see’s while you are in the area. If you’d like some sand and sea, then you will certainly enjoy a stroll along the glorious Lunan Bay. The beaches at Arbroath and Montrose are close by too.
For keen golfers, Forfar, Carnoustie, Glenisla, Alyth and Blairgowrie are all super courses and are just a short drive away. Enjoy wonderful walks around Forfar, Glen Clova in the Angus Glens, The Cateran Trail and many more. The Murton Farm, Tea Room and Nature Reserve is just 2 miles away and is a good place to stroll around and spot the local wildlife.
If you find yourself in need of some special retail therapy, there is an antique showroom on the farm, House of Farnell is 15 minutes’ away, House of Bruar is around an hour, and also within a 15-minute drive are lots of local shops in Forfar and in the surrounding towns of Arbroath, Montrose and Dundee. No matter what the weather, this wonderful area of Scotland has something for everyone. Beach 14½ miles. Shops, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
