Tucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac, Allawah House offers a stylish retreat for discerning guests looking for somewhere to relax, unwind and enjoy the North Norfolk coastline. Aptly named, the word ‘Allawah’ is Aboriginal in origin and means ‘make you abode here’ or ‘remain here’, and given how light and airy this detached property is, you may well be tempted to stay put and just enjoy the spacious accommodation. It boasts two bathrooms and a ground floor toilet, a well-equipped kitchen and a sun room. Together with an outdoor electric sun shade, it means that you can enjoy the south-facing garden at any time of the day.
Venturing out, you will find a string of pretty coastal towns and villages with a range of habitats, including wide sandy beaches, marshes and quays. Visit nearby Hunstanton for the Sealife Centre, seasonal seal trips and a host of other seaside attractions. Head east from here and pass through local beauty spots such as Burnham-Overy-Staithe, Brancaster, Holkham, and Wells-next-the-Sea, which boasts a picturesque quay and a narrow gauge railway that takes you down to the beach with its pretty painted beach huts. Head a little further and you can enjoy the pursuit of crabbing on Blakeney Quay, too.
History buffs will enjoy a visit to the Sandringham and Holkham Estates and should also take the time to explore the Hanseatic Quarter of Old Kings Lynn. Bird watchers will enjoy trips to Titchwell, Cley and Welney and wildlife lovers will surely take a deer safari in nearby Snettisham. Add in attractions such as Norfolk Lavender, great walks and cycle routes and lots of places to eat and drink (many of which serve seasonal local produce) and you will soon see why people flock to this part of the glorious Norfolk coastline year after year. And, what a treat to return to Allawah and remain there for a great night’s sleep, perhaps to dream of adventures yet to come. Beach 4 miles. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

Whilst there is an open fire the house is warm enough without this being needed.
One or more beds can be linked to form double or twin beds (please advise the owner of your preference prior to arrival).
Only dogs allowed at the property.

Located in Hunstanton, this cottage is on a river. Princess Theatre and Hunstanton Heritage Centre are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Sandringham House and Bircham Windmill. Traveling with kids? Consider Norfolk Lavender and Courtyard Farm. Take an opportunity to explore the area for water adventures such as fishing and other activities like golfing.
