Stunning converted Methodist chapel, Upwell Village

The Chapel was built in 1803 and converted recently into a beautifully designed house with large social spaces which are perfect for entertaining friends and families. As you enter the chapel you are welcomed into an enormous drawing room with 2 lounge areas, a dining area and the main staircase taking you to the first floor. The main lounge is focused around a large stone fireplace with an 18kw wood burner with 2 large sofas and 2 chairs. The second lounge area with a L shaped sofa and chair is at the front of the house where you can enjoy the morning sun and watch the boats go by on the river. The dining table comfortably sits 12. Through the oak arch you enter into the large country kitchen with a seperate pantry/utility room and cloakroom. Spiral staircase to the first floor, french doors out into the garden. A 6 gas ring/electric double range oven and a dining table that seats 10. Outside there's are 2 lounging areas, one with an open fireplace, dining table and a Weber drum BBQ. And if you have a boat - A private mooring at the front of the house.

On the first floor are 4 large double bedrooms all with king sized beds and memory foam mattresses - the master bedroom has a superking sized bed and the 2 front bedrooms enjoy views across the river. A large wetroom with rainfall shower and a lovely bathroom with large roll top bath. A large hallway with seating takes you to the dial staircase and up to the second floor with exposed beams and another lounging area. Here we have an open plan master suite with the 5th king sized bed, and 2 occasional guest beds that can be made up anywhere in the house. A large lounge area with 3 sofas and various chairs plus a 48" Samsung smart tv. This room measure 10 metres by 6 metres so plenty of space to relax or socialise.

We have a Sonos music system throughout the house, 2 Samsung smart TVs with Netflix and Amazon

The chapel is in the village of Upwell which has 3 pubs all within walking distance of the house, a post office and convenience store next door and a butchers plus a fish and chips shop!
Lovely walks along the river and through many orchards. A park with a child friendly enclosure. A 12th century church and a narrow boat company within the village that can pick you up from outside the house and take you for day trips on the rivers...

Hunstanton and Holkom beaches are within an hours drive.,
Sandringham 45 minutes drive
Downham Market with trains to London (1hr 28 min train to kings Cross) is a 10 minute drive and Ely - 30 minutes drive



Located in Wisbech, this vacation home is in a rural area and on the waterfront.
