Maples, Hunstanton

Norfolk. Sleeps up to 12

Situated in the award-winning seaside town of Hunstanton, near a sandy beach, is this remarkable, Victorian home, Maples. This spacious, semi-detached home retains a lot of its original features, making it a charming getaway for family and friends. Be greeted by off-road parking or leave your vehicle on the unrestricted roadside before exploring Maples marvellous interior. Stepping through the porch, open the royal navy door into the long hallway, where you can kick off your boots and hang your coats. On your left, discover the first of two sitting rooms where you can sprawl on the comfy sofas as the internet connected TV with Bluetooth soundbar does the entertaining. Escape the group and curl up in front of the real-flame gas fire in the sitting room adjacent; enjoy a much-loved book, away from the chatter and laughter. At the back of the home, you will find the large kitchen/ diner, here budding chefs can make use of the range cooker and microwave to whip up tasty delights and after there is a dishwasher for a fuss-free clean. Take a seat at the grand dining table, where you can tuck-into mouth-watering dishes and laugh about the adventures so far. On sunny days, the beach is only 450 meters away, where your furry friends can stretch their legs as you bask in the sun. The property also offers a dog’s room, so our canine companion can sleep in his own bed and enjoy the wash station after a day at the beach. For those with limited mobility, there is a ground-floor twin bedroom (zip/link, can be Super-king on request), as well as a ground-floor shower room to make their stay as easy as possible! As the sky grows dark, climb up the striped stairs to discover a quaint study with a selection of books, an ideal spot for the little ones to listen to some bedtime reading. The older children may wish to escape the adults and head to the top floor, where they can play pool, air hockey, and unwind on the corner sofa with a Nintendo Switch. The top floor is also home to a charming twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and to find another twin bedroom, head downstairs to the first floor. The adults can rest their head in a super-king-size (zip/link, can be twin on request), a king-size or a double, all with storage and en-suites. Take advantage of your idyllic position between Hunstanton and Old Hunstanton and take a scenic walk to the nearby Old Hunstanton Beach to discover colourful cliffs, rock pools, and swimming opportunities between tide times; your four legged friends are welcome north of the promenade all year round. In the afternoon, head to Hunstanton Golf Club to test your swing, or why not visit SEA LIFE to see a range of sea creatures? Be sure to get up close to The Wreck of The Steam Trawler Sheraton, to marvel at a fishing boat, which was used in WWI and WWII. Refuel after a day of adventure with a bite to eat at one of the delicious restaurants that decorate the high-street, or if you'd prefer to dine from the comfort of your holiday home, pick-up fresh fish and chips or an Indian takeaway! Jump in the car to explore the gems of Norfolk, including Titchwell Marsh, where you can unwind on a sandy beach and admire birdlife or tour the 400 acres of Sandringham Estate to see the spectacular country house. Bring your bike along to soak in sights on the National Cycle Route 1, test your swing at the expansive grounds of King's Lynn Golf Club or indulge in treatments at Imagine Health & Spa. For long-lasting memories with your loved ones, secure a stay at Maples.
