Little Egret is centrally situated, just a stone’s throw from Milford’s village green. This bright & airy apartment, (in a modern building of just 4 flats) is fully equipped with all the essentials for a relaxing and comfortable stay, and offers free private parking, plus guests have access to a lockable bike shed adjacent to your parking space at the rear of the property.

Walks can be enjoyed directly from the apartment – (just a short walk to the sea) and with a varied choice of woodland & coastal strolls taking in the beautiful views across to the Isle of Wight. The local harbour at Keyhaven, (an easy 10-15 min walk from Little Egret), is a great place for a walk along the sea path by the salt marshes to spot all the different birdlife that this coastal area attracts all year round.

Ferries from Keyhaven (April – October) can take you across to Hurst Castle (or it’s a very pleasant 45 minute walk there along the shingle spit) – and the regular ferries from Lymington operate all year round over to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight.
In the village itself, you are spoilt for choice with a range of welcoming restaurants, pubs and tea-rooms. Traditional independent shops are situated around the Green, and we also have a couple of beauty/hair salons for that little bit of holiday pampering!
The popular Village Community Centre in Milford offers a wide range of live performances, films and activities. A great venue for both locals and visitors alike.
More active opportunities nearby include: paddle boarding, horse riding, golf, cycling and of course fossil hunting along this lovely stretch of coastline.

And it’s only a short drive to explore the wider area of the New Forest National Park and see the free roaming ponies, cattle and deer, that makes this a really special place to be.

There are many interesting places to visit nearby, such as Highcliffe Castle, Beaulieu National Motor Museum, and Beaulieu village with a riverside walk to Buckler’s Hard & maritime museum. Visit the Georgian town of Lymington with its colourful Saturday market and cobbled quayside. Lyndhurst, Burley, Exbury Gardens and Bournemouth are a short drive away too.
Whether planning a short break or a longer stay in this lovely part of Hampshire, Little Egret is a great base from which to enjoy the mix of the seaside & the beautiful New Forest.

Sammy Miller Museum and Regent Centre are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Barton-on-Sea Golf Club and JW Day Spa and Beauty. Traveling with kids? Consider Lymington Sea Water Baths and Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
