This excellent holiday cottage is based in Somerford Keynes, Gloucestershire and can sleep eight people in three bedrooms.

Kingfishers Cottage is an excellent holiday cottage based in Somerford Keynes, Gloucestershire. It is located within the Cotswolds’ 550 acre Lower Mill Estate nature reserve and is just a few minutes stroll from the River Thames. Internally, the cottage is welcoming and well furnished. Inside has an open-plan living room with a wood burning stove, dining area and fitted kitchen with French doors that lead into the garden. Upstairs has one double bedroom with an en suite shower and WC, one further double room with a double bed and one bunk room with bunks for 4 children!. There are two separate family bathrooms and WC. To the rear of the property is a garden, perfect for sitting and for children to play, with a small shallow stream and lake beyond. Customers have access to the outdoor heated pool and sauna, plus a tennis court. Excellent and varied fishing within the lakes, plus Spinney Lake is available for non-powered boats. Off road parking is available. Kingfishers Cottage is an excellent property for friend and family vacations.

Open Water: We must remind you that open water swimming on the lakes at Lower Mill Estate can be dangerous and if any person chooses to partake in open water swimming, they must be aware of the following:
1. The open water bodies are NOT supervised by LME staff
2. British Standard buoyancy aids must be worn by all Homeowners, Guests and Renters wishing to use the lakes and users are encouraged to make themselves aware of the location of throw lines which are situated at appropriate locations at the edge of lakes
3. Swimmers should ensure that they do not enter the water bodies without supervision from others of their household
4. Swimmers will be asked politely to leave the water bodies if it is believed that the activities taking place are dangerous or no buoyancy aids are worn
5. No inflatables to be used on the lakes at any time

Fuel, power and starter pack for wood burning stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Ample off road parking. Enclosed lawned garden with furniture. Shared use of outdoor heated swimming pool, sauna and tennis court. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 2 mins walk. Note: This property requires a refundable Good House Keeping Bond of £100 prior to booking, which is paid directly to the owner. Note: Outdoor heated swimming pool and sauna is only in use from Easter to October and the Christmas/New Year period. Note: This property only has space for 1 infant in cot.

Region: Visitors to the Cotswolds have long treasured memories of charming towns and villages built from the famous honey-coloured stone, it now boasts a thriving community of contemporary artists working from studios and shops throughout the area.

Town: Somerford Keynes, Gloucestershire is a short drive away from Ashton Keynes which is positioned on the banks of the River Thames. Lying within the Cotswold Water Park and split by the River Thames, which has many channels here, centred 6.5 miles from its source at Thames Head. Within the village of Ashton Keynes there is a pub named the White Hart Inn, as well as a village shop. Formerly known as Aesctun in 800 AD, Ashton Keynes appeared in the Domesday Book, with ten variants of the name being recorded over the past 800 years. The local school is a voluntary controlled school. Parts of the school building date back to 1870.

This vacation home is located in Cirencester. Cirencester Roman Amphitheatre and Swindon and Cricklade Railway are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Thames Path and Cirencester Golf Club. Lakeside Ski & Wake and Combat Splat are also worth visiting.
